A few months ago, my family and I took a trip to our favorite island in Hawaii, Kauai! This was my fourth time going to the island and each time I make the trip, I love it even more than the last. The entire Island is stunning and serene and just magical. We spent the entire week basking in the sun, drinking lava flows, and eating acai bowls and I wouldn’t have it any other way. See all my favorite places on the island below!

TO STAY:

St. Regis Princeville – This is my top choice, for obvious reasons. In fact it’s probably one of my favorite hotels of all time. You can see waterfalls/rainbows/practically angels from your window like it’s legit magical. The only downfall is that it is on the “wet” part of the island so it rains a lot. But a little water never hurt nobody.

Sheraton Kauai – Pretty much every time we’ve gone to Kauai, we’ve stayed part of the time at the St. Regis and part of the time here. It’s the perfect combo because the Sheraton is on the “sunny” side of the island so you get to experience both sides of the island as well as experience more of a casual hotel in the Sheraton and more of a bougie hotel in the St. Regis.

TO EAT:

Anake’s Juice Bar – I’m not kidding when I say we ate here every single day. Hands down the best acai bowls I’ve ever had – & I’ve had a lot of acai bowls.

La Spezia – Yummy little Italian spot.

Beach House – The food isn’t amazing but the views are.

Bubba’s Burgers – The island’s chain burger joint. Definitely worth a stop.

TO DO:

Luau – If you’re gonna do a Luau, this is the one to do. The only Luau on the island that’s right on the beach.

Tour Na Pali Coast by Boat – The Na Pali Coast is by far the most awe inspiring part of the island and there are many ways to see it. We’ve done the hike, we’ve done the helicopter ride, but this year we did the boat tour and it was by far my favorite. When you’re right in front of it you get to see how grand it really is. Our tour also included dinner & an open bar which is always a plus.

Some other notable things to do include Waimea Canyon, Queen’s Bath, Zip-Lining, and checking out the waterfalls.

xo, Linnea
